Moreima Chirinos, the mother of Ildemar Jesus Romero Chirinos said her son called her in March to say he would be transferred to “another place” from a detention center he was being held in the US. She joined demonstrators who gathered in front of the office of the UN in Caracas to deliver a letter addressed to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, in which they asked for an immediate response to the serious violations of human rights that they attribute to the governments of El Salvador and the United States.
