Wilker Guiterrez Sierra,21, entered the US on September 21, 2023 near El Paso where he was apprehended by Border Patrol. He claimed fear of harm and was released with a Notice to Appear (NTA) at an immigration court in Houston in January 25, 2024. He was arrested with three other Venezuelan nationals after a February 17, 2024 incident in the Chicago transit. All four men were charged with robbery and aggravated battery by strangulation. Three of the men were detained but Wilker was released with an ankle monitor.
